Day 1 and 2 - Sydney - Arrive in Sydney and stay 2 nights at the ParkRoyal Darling Harbour with fabulous views of Darling Harbour and an ideal base to explore the city. From Darling Harbour, you can walk round to Circular Quay for impressive views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. Explore the bustling CDB, visit the Botanical Gardens or take the Manley Ferry for a scenic ride along the harbour – with excellent photo opportunities!

Located close to City Sydney transport, this 90minute leisurely walking tour introduces you to the diversity of Aboriginal Culture. Discover ancient Dreamtime Culture practices from the natural environment that connect to homeland identity, Belonging to Earth Mother environs & human family from Grandmother’s & Mothers Heritage and landscapes. Illi-Langi is an intimate, informative and very enlightening experience.
Day 3 and 4 – Sydney to Port Stephens - Today you will pick up your car hire from downtown Sydney and drive approximately 2.5 hours to Port Stephens, where you will spend 2 nights in a luxury glamping tent at the Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary. Set in 8 hectares of stunning bushland and nestled on the edge of the magnificent One Mile Beach and Worimi Conservation Lands sand dunes, Port Stephens Koala Sanctuary offers the best of both worlds. It’s close enough to experience the abundance of sights and activities Port Stephens has to offer, yet secluded enough to enjoy the native bird and animal life which have made their homes in the surrounding wetlands. Enjoy seeing Koala’s in their natural habitat, learn about the conservation program and visit the Koala hospital on site.
Day 5 and 6 – Port Stephens to Hunter Valley - Today you will take the 1.5 hour scenic drive to the Hunter Valley wine region where you will spend 2 nights at Spicers Guest House. A five-star hotel located in the heart of the Hunter Valley providing you a great sense of relaxed luxury within 40 acres of grounds overlooking the surrounding mountain ranges and neighbouring vineyards.

Meet at the Audrey Wilkinson Cellar Door located on De Beyers Road, Pokolbin, to commence a Picnic Among the Vines tour. Enjoy a self-guided tour of our onsite museum, followed by a master class and premium tasting from their in-house wine expert. Collect your bottle of handpicked wine along with a picnic hamper and select a scenic location within our 270 acre property to enjoy the picturesque view. Immerse yourself among the vines where you will feel as though you have the whole vineyard to yourself! Your picnic hamper includes your own etched glassware to take home.
Day 7 and 8 – Hunter Valley to Blue Mountains - Approximately 3.5 hours’ drive away you will find your next destination. Lilianfels Resort & Spa is a 5-star resort overlooking the most spectacular scenery in the Blue Mountains National Park. Feel refreshed and recharged in this stunning World Heritage-listed wilderness, which provides the perfect setting for an interesting minibreak. Where popular activities include hiking, abseiling and listening to the Aboriginal legend of The Three Sisters, this natural wonderland also provides luxury accommodation, fine dining and cosy cafes. Leaving you to pick your preferred activities whilst you discover its unique cultural experiences.
Day 9 and 10 – Blue Mountains to Canberra - Today you will discover the magic of Australia’s Capital city of Canberra. Situated about 150 miles southwest of Sydney, Canberra is renowned for being committed to 100% renewable energy and has lots of incredible attractions to enjoy. Explore iconic museums and galleries including the Australian War Memorial or the architecturally acclaimed Parliament House. Delight in a foodie haven and take a stroll round Canberra’s ever-evolving shopping and gourmet precinct; Braddon, just a short walk from the CBD. Head to the capitals famous Lake Burley Griffin, taking in the sights on your very own Segway tour or perhaps enjoy a floating picnic on a GoBoat whilst you sit back and relax in the fine Australian climate. Enjoy two nights at the Hotel Kurrajong, one of Canberra’s most historic hotels. It’s art deco style blends seamlessly with modern conveniences to make for a comfortable and stylish stay.
Day 11 and 12 – Fly Canberra to Melbourne - Returning the car to Canberra Airport, you will begin the next stretch of your journey to Melbourne.
A city renowned for its coffee and diverse multicultural heritage, Melbourne is full of remarkable street art, hidden cafes and quirky bars. Here you will spend two nights at The Savoy Hotel on Little Collins, a timeless gem situated in the CBD making sure you are comfortable in your stay. Melbourne is also home to the largest Little Penguin Colony in the world, take a trip to Phillip Island to see them make their way home after a day in the ocean or explore the squeaky white sand and turquoise water of Wilsons Promontory National Park.

Embark on Melbourne’s Foodie Discovery Walk, where you will discover Melbourne’s best restaurants, coffee shops and street food vendors with a local expert. Explore the laneways and arcades that Melbourne is famous for spotting everything from vibrant street art to authentic Chinese dumplings. With a relaxed small group, your expert guide will provide fascinating commentary on the cities past and present.
Day 13 – Melbourne to Apollo Bay, The Great Ocean Road - After picking up your compact car from downtown Melbourne, you will start on the spectacular Great Ocean Road, which is notorious for its rugged natural beauty and dramatic landscapes. After taking in the scenery, you will find the picturesque seaside town of Apollo Bay, situated midway along the Great Ocean Road. Spending 1 night at the Apollo Bay Guest House, which is perfectly located on the beach, just a short walk to the restaurants, shops and cafes. As a seaside town with an influential fishing industry, we recommend sampling the fresh seafood on the menu.
Excursion – Walk with the Wildlife Guided Tour
Take a walk on the wild side with a 75-minute guided walk through the astounding Otways bushland. Taking this gentle tour suitable for all ages and abilities, your conservationist guide will explain the amazing secrets of the plants and animals who reside in the bush.
Day 14 and 15 – Apollo Bay to Warrnambool, The Great Ocean Road - Today’s drive takes you along the heart of the Great Ocean Road, be sure to stop at the famous Twelve Apostles and marvel at the rugged coastal scenery. As you come to the end of the Great Ocean Road you will discover Warrnambool, nestled into the Victoria’s South-West Coast. Famous for its turbulent history as the Shipwreck Coast, here you will discover the infamous Loch Ard Shipwreck of 1978 and visit the award-winning Flagstaff Hill Maritime Village. Explore the costal walks and spectacular surrounding beaches or find a spot on the viewing platform at Logans Beach to spot flocking Southern Right Whales whom return every June to October to raise their calves. Take comfort back at the Lady Bay Resort just a short drive from the town centre, in which you will find the day spa, in-house restaurant and seasonally heated outdoor pool proving the perfect idyllic escape.
Day 16 and 17 – Warrnambool to Halls Gap - Turning inland you will travel to Halls Gap, burrowed in the Grampians National Park where spectacular hiking, stunning views and amazing wildlife are at your doorstep. Spending two nights at DULC Nature Retreat cabins, with an open-pan design, gas Log fire and Spa bath to bring that little bit of luxury to the mountains. There are many local cafes and restaurants in and around Halls Gap, as well as access to many hikes, lookouts and waterfalls, including the spectacular MacKenzie Falls.
Day 18 – Halls Gap to Ballarat - Traveling just over an hour and a half you will reach your next destination of Ballarat, Victoria’s largest inland city. A vibrant hub of contemporary arts it is home to Australia’s oldest regional gallery, the Art Gallery of Ballarat with a fantastic collection of Australian Art. Spending one night the Sovereign Hill Hotel you can make the most of Ballarat’s exciting restaurant scene or catch a show at Her Majesty’s Theatre which originally opened in 1875.
Day 19 – Ballarat to Melbourne Airport - It is the last day of your trip, take the 75 minute drive back to Melbourne to depart on the first leg of your journey.
