Days 1 – 3 – Melbourne
With vibrant street art and a fresh live music scene Melbourne is a culture rich hub, bursting with activities to keep you occupied. Take a stroll down Hosier Lane and discover stencilled alleyways or breathe in the seaside air at St Kilda, relaxing under palm trees in the golden sunlight. Overlooking the scenic Yarra River you will find the Rendezvous Hotel. One of Australia’s finest historic hotels, where you will spend the next three nights. Just a three minute walk from the iconic Flinders’ Street Station, this boats a prime location to discover Melbourne’s CBD.
Excursion – Melbourne Highlights River Cruise
Travel down the Yarra River and take in the beautiful sights of Melbourne. With a sundeck to enjoy this laid-back activity and the historical insight into Melbourne’s fascinating culture. Cruise past beautiful buildings, skyscrapers, bars and parks whilst taking in the magnificent landmarks such as the Princess Bridge, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Government House and many more.
Days 4 and 5 - Melbourne to Uluru
Make your way to the airport and fly to Uluru which is situated in the Central Australian desert. Amidst the deep red sand, you will find the spectacular natural formation, standing 348 meters high and arguably one of Australia’s most recognisable landmarks. Discover the awe-inspiring landscape, with bright colours that change before your eyes, listen and learn about the special cultural significance and the stories of the local Aboriginal people, the Anangu. Here you will stay at The Lost Camel Hotel, conveniently located in the heart of Ayers Rock Resort. Just 20 minutes from Uluru, this boutique hotel is styled with a mix of Aboriginal and urban themes and gives you the opportunity to learn more about the Aboriginal culture by hosting Indigenous guest activities.
Excursion – Seit Uluru Highlights Sunrise Tour
As you travel towards Uluru its cast shape rises from the sand dunes while the early dawn light highlights its presence in this country. Your guide will take you to a special location with uninterrupted views to watch the sunrise over this amazing monolith. Enjoy a picnic breakfast before you experience the highlights of Uluru. Your guide will escort you to Mutitjulu Waterhole where you will learn the creation stories of Liru, poisonous snake and Kuniya, woma python, before driving around the base of Uluru to return to your resort.
Days 6 – 9 Ayers Rock to Cairns
Just a short flight away lies Cairns, Queensland; the only state to have two UNESCO world heritage listed sites side by side, The Great Barrier Reef and Wet Tropics Rainforest. A gateway to increased natural beauty, you will discover coral reefs, dewy rainforests and unique native wildlife not seen anywhere else on Earth. Here you can snorkel, kayak or climb your way around, or rest and recharge by the pool with a good book. Spend the next 4 nights in the peaceful haven that is Cairns Colonial Club Resort. Hidden amidst 11 acres of tropical rainforest gardens, this resort features a man-made beach, sparkling lagoon pools and impressive mountain backdrops allowing you to truly relax in its surroundings.
