Nikita Ovsynaykov, Polar bear expert
A recognised authority on polar bears and Arctic foxes, Nikita is a zoologist with a Ph.D. in biology from Moscow State University and a specialty in animal behaviour, population ecology and conservation. He has served as deputy director of sciences for Wrangel Island State Nature Reserve, published numerous papers and books, and spent most of his life studying polar bears in the High Arctic. Nikita’s film Polar Bears: Life on the Field of Bones is his unique account of a full season with the bears on Herald Island.
Dr. James McClintock, climate scientist
James is a noted climate change expert who has authored over 235 research publications and four books. James has led 14 expeditions with A&K to the White Continent and was recently awarded the Antarctica Service Medal. James has voyaged to both polar regions for more than three decades and has engaged in geology expeditions throughout. He also served as a researcher the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.
